Situated on the western bank of the Chao Phraya River, Wat Arun is one of Bangkok’s most iconic temples, renowned for its massive central spire decorated with gleaming seashells and colorful porcelain. Travelers can board a river cruise to glimpse at Wat Arun over the sunset or climb the steep steps of the temple itself for a panoramic view of the river and the city’s skyline.
Cu Chi Tunnels
An extensive underground network stretching over 200 kilometers (approx. 120 miles), these tunnels served as living quarters, supply routes, and hiding spots for Vietnamese soldiers during the Vietnam War. Today, visitors can explore sections of the tunnel, learn about wartime life, and see the ingenious traps used during the conflict. For a small fee, you can also use the firing range, shooting live rounds from guns used in the war.
