Where Phuket is known for its lively nightlife and busy beaches, Koh Samui draws visitors with its quiet stretches of sand and luxury wellness resorts. Travelers to the island can opt for an excursion to Ang Thong National Marine Park or Pig Island or visit Koh Samui’s many landmarks including Big Buddha Temple and Lad Koh Viewpoint. When traveling to Koh Samui, it’s best to avoid the rainy season between late September to November.
Cu Chi Tunnels
An extensive underground network stretching over 200 kilometers (approx. 120 miles), these tunnels served as living quarters, supply routes, and hiding spots for Vietnamese soldiers during the Vietnam War. Today, visitors can explore sections of the tunnel, learn about wartime life, and see the ingenious traps used during the conflict. For a small fee, you can also use the firing range, shooting live rounds from guns used in the war.
