Buddha Park, located just outside Vientiane – the capital of Laos, is a fascinating sculpture garden featuring over 200 statues inspired by Buddhist and Hindu beliefs. Constructed in 1958 by priest-shaman and artist Bunleua Sulilat, the park blends religious iconography with surrealist art, making it a one-of-a-kind cultural landmark.
Cu Chi Tunnels
An extensive underground network stretching over 200 kilometers (approx. 120 miles), these tunnels served as living quarters, supply routes, and hiding spots for Vietnamese soldiers during the Vietnam War. Today, visitors can explore sections of the tunnel, learn about wartime life, and see the ingenious traps used during the conflict. For a small fee, you can also use the firing range, shooting live rounds from guns used in the war.
