Phuket is Thailand’s largest island and one of the nation’s most popular tourist destinations, known for its stunning beaches, vibrant nightlife, and rich cultural heritage. Whether it’s visiting the Old Town to admire colorful Sino-Portugese architecture, perusing the nightclubs of Patong, or boarding an excursion to Phi Phi Islands or Phang Nga Bay, there is something for everyone at Phuket. The best time to visit is during the dry season, usually between November to April.
Cu Chi Tunnels
An extensive underground network stretching over 200 kilometers (approx. 120 miles), these tunnels served as living quarters, supply routes, and hiding spots for Vietnamese soldiers during the Vietnam War. Today, visitors can explore sections of the tunnel, learn about wartime life, and see the ingenious traps used during the conflict. For a small fee, you can also use the firing range, shooting live rounds from guns used in the war.
