Located at the heart of Saigon, the square is a small public space in front of the Notre Dame Cathedral and Central Post Office, two of the most iconic pieces of French colonial architecture in Saigon. Serving as a great spot for photography and people-watching, the square is also the starting point for sightseeing bus tours that takes you across the city center.
Cu Chi Tunnels
An extensive underground network stretching over 200 kilometers (approx. 120 miles), these tunnels served as living quarters, supply routes, and hiding spots for Vietnamese soldiers during the Vietnam War. Today, visitors can explore sections of the tunnel, learn about wartime life, and see the ingenious traps used during the conflict. For a small fee, you can also use the firing range, shooting live rounds from guns used in the war.
